When life's issues feel overwhelming

A safe harbour where you can explore what is holding you back from living your life fully

About Counselling and Psychotherapy

Sometimes life's issues and problems can feel overwhelming....perhaps you wake with a sense of dread...maybe you feel that life hasn't turned out how you had hoped...or you're having a hard time at work. Perhaps you find yourself repeating those same old patterns in relationship, or you are caught in the cycle of addiction. You may feel lonely and isolated, or are burdened with shyness.

To be listened to and heard for who you are can bring huge relief and over time help you to discover that what may appear as hopeless can also be a call from a deeper part of yourself. Counselling can offer a safe harbour where, with the help of another, you can explore what is troubling you and holding you back from living your life more fully.

Core Process Psychotherapy:

Core Process Psychotherapy brings together the theories, wisdom and insights of Western psychologies with a Buddhist-influenced understanding of the transformative power of awareness and mindful attention in the here and now present moment. This can facilitate insight, and provide help in unravelling past conditioning and the adaptions we made historically in order to survive - this in turn can lead towards a deeper embodied sense of who we truly are, thereby enriching our relationship and connection with ourselves, each other and the world we live in.

"The aim of soul work is not adjustment to accepted norms or a statistical framework. The goal is a richly elaborated life connected to society and nature. The idea is not to be superficially adjusted, but to be profoundly connected in the heart."
-Thomas Moore

Start close in,
don’t take the second step
or the third,
start with the first
close in,
the step you don’t want to take. poet David Whyte
